Strange and fantastic. The "opera" performed in the "Paper Maché Cathedral and Dirt Floor Theatre" was a bit rough, but I believe it was its first performance, and still fascinating. I look forward to some day catching one of their more polished shows.

I've been coming here ever since i was a little girl. It is always worth the drive. All are welcome. Come barefoot, come with good friends, come with a picnic, and come ready to watch amazing political art in action. Come hungry for great entertainment and of course, Bread!

Jaw-dropping wonderment. From the generous, eloquent and incredibly informative tour of the museum and the clay oven for bread, by Elka, who emphasized the importance and value of the bread-baking as much as the puppetry to the mind-blowing museum collection of what seemed like an infinite number of puppets, art, ....decades of dedicated creativity, artistry and activism,....weeks later i am still awe-struck by this experience

Nothing like it in the world! Pure magic!

One of the most incredible places I have ever been in my life, honestly. If you are an artist or a fan of public art, protests, or art intervention you MUST visit them. The museum is a beautiful, deep, tall barn of 4 stories that chronicles the puppet history of the troupe, dating back to the 60's. The puppets are beautiful and the people there have a special spirit and optimism that is worth encountering.
